Cinnamon Buns & Book Notes

K and I were up until 3AM making cinnamon buns and it was totally worth the effort. Had one this morning and they’re even better than the last batch.

There’s a lot of waiting involved with baking. K took care of making the dough and the butter-cinnamon spread. I was in charge of cutting up the dough and braiding it.

The waiting gave me a lot of time to read.

I was asked if I take notes on fiction books and my answer was “depends on the book.” I’m almost halfway into Shift and the only note I’ve taken is this one:

With enough revolutions and elections, enough transfers of power, eventually a madman would take the reins. It was inevitable.

That reminds me there was another quote that I wanted to jot dot down but didn’t have a pen on me.
